Wedding dresses for dayyys!
Plain and simple: Less is more when it comes to My Love Story Bridal
After my husband and I got engaged, I wanted to go dress shopping immediately with my mom, sisters, and friend Diana. (I know what you’re thinking, ‘I went dress shopping too early and my one blog post said to get the venue first’, buuuuut I TOTALLY didn’t think I’d be walking out with a dress 9 days after our engagement. It was not part of the plan and I had zero hopes, lol.
But before we made it to the local boutique, my mom asked me if I’d look at David’s Bridal and I already knew my answer was no. I had so many reasons not to go there, but my first initial reason was this: it’s overwhelming AF, lol. No, thanks. Not for me.
Isn’t she lovely?
Obviously, I’m all about ‘shopping small’ and supporting the community in that way, and this is one way you can do it, too! I can’t say enough amazing things about the boutique where I purchased my wedding dress; I’d have 10 pages of content, and I know no one’s going to read that, so I’ll give you this one blog post!
This quaint boutique welcomes you in with Magdalena’s calming sense of self, and cozy, intimate atmosphere. When I was trying on dresses, she never pushed me to make a decision about any, kept going back and getting more dresses for me to try on, or made any sales pitch to hook me into buying anything that day, or even in the future. I can get overwhelmed easily when there’s so many options to choose from, but with her, I never felt that way. There was no pressure what-so-ever, and I can’t tell you how much I appreciated that. With that said, I knew I walked into the perfect store whenever I’d talk with her about what I was looking for, and what I wouldn’t wear. With that said, she’s got everything from the Plain Jane type to the Glam Goddess!
The other wonderful thing about trying on dresses and accessories at her boutique was that I was the only potential customer there. It was so nice that I didn’t have these other bride’s or mom’s eyes on me, or kids running around causing complete chaos, lol. It was such a calming experience that it helped me make my decision that much easier; choosing Love Story Bridal for my wedding dress. (and obviously because I found the right one - legit the FIRST dress I tried on! IN-SANE! lol!)
Magdalena was absolutely wonderful to work with, and I can’t thank her enough for how she’s treated me throughout the entire process from trying on, to our wedding day. As long as she’s open, I’m sending every bride I know to her store.
xoxo, Dana
