How to save on florals pt. 2
Listen up, ladies - you don’t HAVE to break the bank with the real thing..
I can honestly say, purchasing from Sola was the best route I went with for my florals for myself, my girls, the guys, and our parents. And I spent less than $500! How did I do that? I’m gonna tell you :)
Let me explain how it works: I was able to search all different types of styles (ex. boho, romantic, dramatic, etc.) and sets that they have on their website, and I got to choose the dye/colors for the flowers (they have swatches so you can see how they’ll look). I paid extra to have the bouquets/corsages/boutonnières all made and ready to go for our wedding day, which in my eyes, was totally worth it. I ordered them during a peak season (Black Friday weekend) and didn’t receive them until the end of January. Let me just tell you, it was worth every minute of the wait. TIP: they always have a “70% off sale” but I was able to get their 90% off sale! FUCK YEAH! But if you REALLY want to save and use Sola, you can purchase their kits, dye the flowers, and make the arrangements yourself. Personally, I know my fiancé and I would’ve gotten into way too many arguments over how to arrange them, but if you think you can do it, go balls to the wall, my friend. lol
ANYWAY. When I was looking online at floral shops (I live in the Chicagoland area) bridal bouquets START anywhere from $75-250+, JUST FOR THE BRIDES BOUQUET. I’m sure you’re thinking, ‘yeah, that’s not a lot in retrospect’ but let me just tell you, it adds up QUICK. Yes, you might be supporting a local shop and if you know me, I’m all for that, but if you’r trying to DIY some of your wedding and save some money, this is a good way to go. They’re beautiful, lightweight, they smell good, they’ll last forever, and they look real!
xoxo, Dana
P.S. Only 5 more days until I’m a married woman! EEEEEE!
