Newborn In-Home Session: The Green Family

Rachel came to me just after her son Bruce was born and asked me to come to their house to photograph her, her husband Jeff, their dog Arthur and their new baby! The nursery was adorably decorated with mountains, bears, deer, birds, and evergreens making it the perfectly calm and serene atmosphere.
Sidenote: if you’re asking yourself, “Dana, is it ok if my dog joins in the session?” the answer will always be, OMFG YES!
After snapping some details of the nursery, Rachel came in with baby Bruce! He was so calm after he was fed; he was perfect to handle and snag pictures of. He truly owned his 45 minutes of fame!
To get you and your family ready for your session is this: all I ask is make sure that baby is fed, clean, and changed into the outfit you’d like them to be photographed in! That way it’ll be easier to transition between poses rather than during the session, getting them ready and potentially becoming too fussy. I know not every baby will be as perfect as Bruce was, but we can try to do our best to make your session as stress-free and calming as possible :)
With my expertise in Bella Baby Photography, I was able to wrap Bruce up so he was perfectly calm and content. And as a mom, I’m sure there’s times where you get nervous with someone else handling your baby other than you and your partner. But I promise I’ll come to your house and wash or sanitize my hands, and I’ll keep the energy to a minimum as not to overstimulate the baby.
With that said, I’d absolutely love to capture your family inside your home and give you precious memories of your beautiful babe!
